AA Ventilation is a family run, Irish owned business established in 2007 which has grown to be one of Irelands leading Ventilation and Fire Duct Specialist firms. The company is based in Kilbeggan, Westmeath with offices in Dublin and operates all over the island of Ireland. Employing over 40 members of staff their trained and qualified tradesmen provide design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance and project management services for large scale commercial and public sector ventilation, air conditioning and fire duct extraction projects.

At AA Ventilation we have a Safety First policy to protect our staff and customers. All our staff are trained and up to date in the relevant industry health and safety standards including: Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Mobile Alloy Tower, MEWP, Abrasive Wheels, Fire Safety, Fire Duct – FIRAS Certified, Working at Heights. 
 
All our staff on site are required to adhere to the 5 Point PPE: Gloves, Glasses, Hard Hat, Hi-Vis Vest, Work Boots. AA Ventilation is a FIRAS Registered Company certified FIRAS Certification Scheme for the Application of passive fire resisting products using fire rated ductwork. Construction Manager 

AA Ventilation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Manager to oversee the logistics of a long-term construction project in Leixlip. As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of the project, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high-quality standards. Your ability to effectively manage resources, communicate with stakeholders, and provide strong leadership will be critical to the project's success.

Responsibilities: 
 
Oversee the logistical requirements of the construction project, including coordinating materials, equipment, and labour. 
Delegate work and allocate responsibilities to colleagues within your team, ensuring effective utilization of resources. 
Regularly meet with clients, third parties, and other managers to provide progress reports and address any concerns or issues that may arise. 
Set targets, objectives, and responsibilities for all supervised staff, promoting a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment. 
Conduct regular reviews of project plans, budgets, timelines, labor allocation, and risk assessments to ensure adherence to project goals and objectives. 
Set and agree on budgets, ensuring effective cost control measures are in place throughout the project. 
Conduct site visits to inspect work progress, verify the quality of workmanship, and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines. 
Manage contracts and proactively address any issues or disputes that may arise, mitigating their impact on the project's timeline and budget. 
Ensure the delivery of high-quality work within the specified contract timescales, maintaining the company's reputation for excellence. 
Work both in an office setting and on the construction site, providing on-site leadership and support to the project team. 
 
Requirements: 
 
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role, with a strong track record of successfully managing construction projects. 
Extensive knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices. 
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to delegate tasks, motivate teams, and drive project success. 
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with clients, stakeholders, and team members. 
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and their application in construction settings. 
Proficiency in project management software and tools, including scheduling and budgeting software. 
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.

Researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors 
Analysing data that can affect costs (such as currency exchange rates and the company’s productivity rates) 
Assessing the financial, technical and operational risks of the project 
Visiting project sites to gather information 
Staying aware of the latest construction technologies 
Keeping up to date with the latest regulatory and legislative requirements 
Inputting into decisions over whether to bid for the project 
Working closely with key members of the project team (such as the bid manager) and liaising with clients and suppliers
